Meter Seals are tamper-evident security seals, providing a visual indicator to determine tampering or removal. They are commonly applied to electric and water meters, gas meters, drums and valves. The seals are laser printed as standard with sequential numbering and made from strong polypropylene plastic and copper wire.
Meter seals are appropriate for installers on the Ofgem Approved Meter Installers (OAMI) list – your customised OAMI number and sequential security numbers are laser-engraved onto flag of the seal.

Protect your goods and cargo today
Designed for maximum tamper resistance, our seals ensure your cargo remains secure from origin to destination.

Secure with a security seal
Applying a security seal to cargo is a straightforward but critical process to ensure the safety and integrity of shipments during transit. Proper application prevents tampering and provides evidence of unauthorised access.
Ensure all goods are properly loaded and secured before verifying that the security seal is undamaged, has a unique serial number, and shows no signs of pre-tampering. Apply your chosen seal and verify the secure application by pulling gently on the seal to ensure it’s firmly engaged and cannot be removed without breaking. Check for any looseness or gaps.

Record the seals identifier
Recording a security seal is critical for ensuring the security, traceability, and accountability of cargo during transit.
Document the seal’s unique serial number, along with the date, time, location, and name of the person applying it. Share this information with relevant stakeholders (e.g., carrier, recipient). Many industries and international shipping standards require detailed seal records to meet security protocols. Accurate documentation helps avoid penalties or delays at customs or inspection points.

Perform regular checks during transit
Periodic inspections allow you to identify signs of tampering, such as cuts, scratches, or replaced seals, before the cargo reaches its destination.
During your inspection, confirm that the seal remains intact and properly engaged. A loose or damaged seal could indicate a security breach or an application error that needs immediate correction. Routine inspections at checkpoints or stops signal to potential thieves that the cargo is actively monitored, acting as a deterrent against tampering attempts.
