Meter Seals are security seals are used to protect utility meters and prevent fraudulent activity and theft on electricity, water and power resources. Energy and utility companies apply meter seals to prevent unauthorised extraction or tampering with meters.

Meter Seals are tamper-evident security seals, providing a visual indicator to determine tampering or removal. They are commonly applied to electric and water meters, gas meters, drums and valves. The seals are laser printed as standard with sequential numbering and made from strong polypropylene plastic and copper wire.
Meter seals are appropriate for installers on the Ofgem Approved Meter Installers (OAMI) list – your customised OAMI number and sequential security numbers are laser-engraved onto flag of the seal.

Seal Procedure
Insert strap into locking chamber and twist seal to secure. Once the wire is sealed, the only way to open it is to cut the copper wire.

Meter seals can handle 40kg of tensile pressure.
